    • Whalen v. City of Sharon, et al., Mercer County, Pennsylvania.  Secured dismissal of all claims against a County Tax Claim Bureau in a negligence and breach of contract case arising from the demolition of real estate following a request for a private tax sale.
    • Eyth v. Butler County, Butler County, Pennsylvania.  Obtained dismissal of all claims against Butler County in a personal injury case alleging a negligently constructed and maintained building entrance.
    • Mealy Excavating, et al. v. Clarion County Airport Authority, et al., Clarion County, Pennsylvania.  Served as co-counsel and obtained dismissal of a County Commissioner on preliminary objections in a civil rights and breach of contract case arising from a lease for hanger space at a county airport.
    • Pyle v. Somerset County Transportation System, et al., Somerset County, Pennsylvania.  Secured dismissal of all claims against Somerset County in a personal injury case arising out of a motor vehicle accident.
    • Booher  v.  Quahliero, et al., United States District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania.  Obtained dismissal of a county sheriff in a civil rights case arising out of mortgage foreclosure proceedings instituted by a bank to recover the plaintiff's mortgaged properties.
    • Dobmeier v. Howmedica, United States District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain dismissal of all claims against a manufacturer of a prosthetic implant.
    • Smith v. Indiana County Jail, et al., Indiana County, Pennsylvania.  Obtained dismissal of a county jail and its warden on preliminary objections in a personal injury case stemming from an alleged assault by the plaintiff’s cellmate.
    • Kohar v. Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., et al., United States District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania.  Obtained dismissal of a sheriff and court official in a property-based civil rights case.
    • Fornalczyk v. DENTSPLY International, et al., Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain summary judgment for a manufacturer of a dental medical device in a product liability case.
    • Sherman v. DKC Landscaping, et al., Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain dismissal of all claims against a clinical testing laboratory in a premises liability case involving a slip and fall on ice.
    • Hoskins, et al. v. Continental Tire, et al., Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain dismissal of a seat belt manufacturer in a product liability case arising out of a fatal motor vehicle accident.
    • Wallace v. UPMC Bedford Memorial, et al., Bedford County, Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain dismissal of all claims against a clinical testing laboratory in a personal injury case alleging professional medical negligence.
    • Gross v. Stryker, United States District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain dismissal of claims against a manufacturer of a prosthetic implant based upon preemption under the Medical Device Amendments to the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.  Reported at 858 F.Supp.2d 466 (2012).
    • Thompson, et al. v. Bayerische Motorenwerke AG, et al., Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain dismissal of the manufacturer of an automobile airbag component part on preliminary objections in a product liability case arising out of a motor vehicle accident.
    • Machen v. BMW of North America, LLC, et al., Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  Assisted in representing client to obtain dismissal of an automobile airbag manufacturer in a product liability case arising out of a motor vehicle accident.
    • Stanton v. Cambria County, et al., Cambria County, Pennsylvania.  Obtained defense verdict in personal injury case alleging negligent maintenance of the flooring inside a county arena.
    • Klingensmith v. Cambria County War Memorial Authority, et al., Cambria County, Pennsylvania.  Summary judgment for Cambria County in a personal injury action alleging negligent construction and maintenance of a ramp inside a county arena.
    • Vitanza v. DLP Conemaugh, et al., Cambria County, Pennsylvania.  Represented client to obtain dismissal of all claims against a distributor of a surgical table and arm board accessory in a medical malpractice and product liability case.
    • Dick, et al.  v.  Crabtree, et al., Kendall County, Illinois.  Obtained dismissal of an employee relocation services company on summary judgment in a fraudulent misrepresentation and common law fraud case arising from a residential home sale and the seller’s alleged failure to properly disclose information. 
    • Krevics  v.  Duley, et al., Fayette County, Pennsylvania.  Obtained dismissal of an attorney on preliminary objections in legal malpractice, conspiracy, fraud, and conversion case arising from a testator’s estate planning and reduction of the plaintiff’s testamentary expectancy. 
    • State Farm, et al.  v.  Patterson, et al., Mercer County, Pennsylvania.  Obtained dismissal of the manufacturer of a dental sintering furnace on preliminary objections in a property damage case stemming from a dental lab fire. 
    • Davidson  v.  Wack, et al., Butler County, Pennsylvania.  Obtained dismissal of a county tax claim bureau on preliminary objections in negligence and conversion case arising out of upset and judicial tax sales of real estate once owned by the plaintiff.
